I was among the first group assigned to maintain & complete the installation of the Yokosuka microwave station with Dennis Sharon, Todd Wilkerson, Richard Bowhay, etc., but was only there for 3 months before I was transferred to the Yokohama microwave station at Negishi in August 1968. Others who had been at the Yokosuka site I worked with in Yokohama were Steve Lathrop ETN2, James Dalenburg ETN2 and Harold Smith ETN3. When I was there people would be assigned on a 2 month temporary duty at Kisarazu where there was nothing to do, but play pool and go to town as the equipment always worked and there was little maintenance required. The experience of being an ET inspired me to become an electrical engineer where I ended up with a EE PHD and worked at Honeywell and Boeing.
